Supply teachers
There should be a specific plan for supply teachers who need to do attendance and who may not have access to an iPad or Dell Venue. e.g. The Hall Monitor app should be available on the desktop of any computer that is signed into by a board employee (including older desktops)

This needs investigation to determine how to prevent supply teachers from logging into Hall Monitor outside school hours and when they need access.
Currently, if a supply teacher has an active user account they could download the app to their own personal device and then have access to student data when they should not. This is a security/privacy concern.

I feel that for both teacher and student safety, all supply teachers should have access to Hall Monitor. It is imperative that we have accurate records for attendance, which means that we should be able to use Hall Monitor to verify visually with the use of their picture, who each student is. It would also give us all medical alerts, allergies, diabetes, special needs, etc. Without this info quickly and easily available you are putting people at risk. If you are worried about the use of Hall Monitor after school hours then restrict its use after 4 pm...but let all teachers have access to it through the day.

Could the supply teacher only have basic information as in name and picture? Just like other teachers have for classes that they do not teach?

I suggest that there be a site specific ipad and password that supply teachers can log in with that would show basic information for all classes at the school so that they could also do the touch attendance. This could be done on a "supply ipad" which could also include all allergies, and the supply teacher handbook specific to the school as well. Password would have to only work in close proximity to the school, or have a tumbling password that gets sent to admin every day/week.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately,Supply Teachers will need to have another teacher complete their attendance or they can enter it on paper. We are currently investigating alternate methods that will allow supply teachers Hall Monitor Touch Attendance access. We hope to offer this functionality in future updates.
