better communication between office-teacher within the app
Currently, when the OA marks a student absent for a full day the teachers cannot see they are absent. It would be helpful for them to see this information and the reason. If a students comes to class after a parent has called in to say they will be absent (YES THIS HAPPENS) the teacher marks them present and it doesn't change in PowerSchool. The teacher has no idea the office has marked them absent and the office has no idea the teacher has marked them present.

Allow teachers to put in the reason for attendance if they know it.
Allow teachers to put in the reason for attendance if they know it. This allows staff to record the information that they receive in an agenda from the day before or an email they received from a parent at an earlier date.

Notes in Hall Monitor?
Currently teachers/OAs are able to enter notes in the "bubble" beside their attendance entry. (Time of late arrival for example.) This is very useful. Is it possible to have the same kind of "bubble" in Hall Monitor?

Are you asking to have the bubbles updated in PowerSchool and have the comments in a bubble in Hall Monitor for the teacher to see? Or, the teachers to update a bubble in Hall Monitor for you to see your Dashboard?

Class totals and Absence shortlist
A banner at the top indicating the total number of students present (and perhaps absent) to allow teachers to count students in a hurry (say, outings, fire drills, etc.) It could also include a short list of students absent as a quick review when needed.

Supply teachers
There should be a specific plan for supply teachers who need to do attendance and who may not have access to an iPad or Dell Venue. e.g. The Hall Monitor app should be available on the desktop of any computer that is signed into by a board employee (including older desktops)
12 votesThis needs investigation to determine how to prevent supply teachers from logging into Hall Monitor outside school hours and when they need access.
Currently, if a supply teacher has an active user account they could download the app to their own personal device and then have access to student data when they should not. This is a security/privacy concern.

Absence Entered Indicator in Hall Monitor
Ability for teachers to see if a student has had attendance entered into PowerSchool before the teacher takes class attendance.

Early Dismissals and Irregular Pickups
Ability for teachers to indicate to school office staff students who have notes from parents that their child is being picked up early or by someone else and if they need to leave school early - e.g. for a dental appointment.

Bus Route Lists
It would be great to see a list of all bus routes for the school and the students on each bus.

MFR absences
I would love to be able to see the parent entered absences (entered through MFR) listed in the CRM dashboard along with the unexplained absence list. I find that those MFR kids tend to get 'lost' or forgotten unless you specifically look them up. It would have to say "entered in MFR" so it is clear.

Parents only send in electronic notes in My Family Room and do not update attendance in PowerSchool. Attendance is only updated from the My Family Room ToDo List managed by school office staff or entered into PowerSchool directly.
We may be in touch as a possible feature enhancement for a future release of Hall Monitor.

CRM enhanced to show all teachers and have them drop off list as they submit their attendance
Would prefer that once attendance is submitted that the teachers name drops off the list in the CRM as opposed to only showing those teachers who have yet to submit attendance. It would be a way of keeping track, especially in a large school, of all lasses.

This is a possibility. However, as the secondary school staff also use CRM and they have MANY classes during the day the list will become very long and cumbersome to manage.
However, we will investigate this as an option for a later release.
