Create a “check out” option for paying for events rather than loading funds to then go and pay.
There should be a streamlined process for “checking out” to pay for events. The feature to load funds into my account is currently not visible which means I can’t use the online payment option. There should be a simpler method for doing this.

I cannot access any of the surveys needing completed. If they are important they should be easy to access!!!

Make all of the correspondences, surveys and documents available on 1 platform.
Right now, we are shuffling between Parental Portal, STEO, my kids school email and our personal email.
Frankly, I am confused. Every morning I do 15 min of just circling in order to figure out if there is a bus, if there are any documents or surveys to file and if there are activities to sign for.
Can there be one place for all of this?

Unfortunately the services you listed are part of different entities, such as the UCDSB, STEO, and the Ontario Department of Education, when organizations are separate it's typical for communication to be separate as well. At the UCDSB we do try to keep our communications consistent and allow guardians to modify their notification settings through their My Family Room account.

Have the order summary available under the events
Hot lunch and other orders are not always summarized. For instance I have hot lunch coming up, I have no idea what day it is on or how to find the order summary so I know what meal my kids will be getting.

School office staff create the events and typically have a well detailed description of the event/hot lunch, if the description isn't as detailed as you would like please let them know.
You are able to look at your accepted events, and which items you paid for up to the beginning of the event, we are taking this suggestion under review to look into changing this on future revisions.

Please include ‘sports events” for absence.
My child plays sports and is the reason for absences but it is not listed as a reason for missing class.

Schedules for high school students should be posted on my family room.
Please make high school schedules available on my family room prior to school beginning and update as changes are made.

Emergency contact updates
I've been asked by my child's school to update Emergency Contact info in My Family Room; but there isn't a method to do so.

Alternative payment methods. Please allow debit or credit instead of PayPal
Love the online payment. But PayPal is not convenient. UCDSB already stores all kinds of confidential information, any information about our children should be just as protected and any potential financial information this might require UCDSB to store.

It would be great if parents had the option to put more than 1 mobile phone number - or a joint account for both mom/dad.
My husband isn't going to create an account for 1 missing phone number... It would be best for us to have one account we can both access and have both our information in the same place. The current set up only allows for one mobile phone number.

I cannot change my name. It’s spelled wrong. The Vice Principal said she would change it but it hasn’t been done.

The addresses tab is not editable.
The address tab has the information that the school uses as contact information. They have refused to update the information manually for 3 years now.

be able to update student verification forms
at the top of the form, it says to log into My Family Room to update info but there is no way to update Emergency Contact Info on this site
