The absence reasons available for selection are the reasons used for internal tracking of student absences. We can consider an option for an ‘Other’ reason and provide an opportunity to enter more details regarding the absence.

Still having the same problem! My daughter was part of the Dance Tour and travelled with the school to different places and was marked absent from all her classes! This is very annoying, especially when my daughter is pulled from her classes to go to the office and "prove" where she was! She is a good student and does not miss classes without my permission, yet she is constantly being treated as though she did something wrong or cannot be believed. Border line harassment!

Yes, "other" is a good idea. Received notification that my daughter had missed a class when in fact, she is in an online course.

Need box for other or ability to write in explanation as above.
My child was marked absent when he switched to another approved elective class that the guidance counselor approved and called me about the week before.
